What is Curbside Recycling?
Not all recyclable items are suitable for curbside recycling. Curbside recyclables are materials that can be collected at the curb and transported for recycling. However, the definition of curbside recyclability varies across different regions. What is accepted in one area may not be accepted in another. It’s essential to check with your local waste management company to know what can go in your curbside bin.
Remember that a little extra attention and care can help us determine which products belong in the curbside bin and which should be taken to specialty recycling drop-off locations. Let’s do our part to keep our planet healthy!
Low Environmental Impact
A carbon footprint refers to the amount of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions associated with all the activities of a person, organization, or country. It encompasses direct emissions from fossil-fuel combustion in manufacturing, heating, and transportation, as well as emissions required to produce electricity associated with consumed goods and services. Additionally, the concept often includes other greenhouse gases like methane and nitrous oxide. Unlike the older idea of an ecological footprint, which considers land area, a carbon footprint is typically expressed in weight (tons of CO₂ or CO₂ equivalent per year) and focuses on consumption-related emissions
